Union Bank To Open New Lincoln Branch at 84th & Highway 2

Construction will begin soon on the newest Union Bank & Trust branch, located at 84th Street and Highway 2, with a projected opening date by year-end 2007.

In addition to lobby and teller services, the South 84th Street branch will have drive-up lanes, drive up ATM machine, safe deposit boxes, a conference room and offices for other banking services.

“This is a rapidly growing area of Lincoln that also serves as a retail destination for southeast Lincoln and Lancaster County, as well as western Otoe County. Considering the existing high traffic volume at 84th Street and Highway 2 and how this location is a regional draw, it is a very desirable location for our newest branch,” said Alan Fosler, Senior Vice President & Cashier.

Designed by Sinclair Hille Architects and built by Kingery Construction, the new facility will be approximately 5,000 square feet in size. Visually, the building will share characteristics of Union Bank’s North 84th Street and the North 27th Street locations. Once this newest location is completed, Union Bank will have opened five new Lincoln branches in the past four years. This makes a total of fifteen Union Bank & Trust bank office locations within Lincoln, more than any other financial institution.

Union Bank & Trust Company offers complete banking, lending, investment and trust services. It is the third-largest privately-owned bank in Nebraska with bank assets of $1.5 billion and trust assets under management of $8.7 billion as of December 31, 2006.
