Two Union Bank Sites Receive Outstanding WebAwards

The Web Marketing Association recently awarded ubt.com and the Bank of You component of ubt.com Outstanding WebAwards in its 12th Annual WebAwards Competition.

Expert judges evaluate each site; the judges are informed of the mission statement and prospective audience for the site. After reviewing the site, they score it based on seven criteria:

  • Design
  • Innovation
  • Content
  • Technology
  • Interactivity
  • Copywriting
  • Ease of use

One judge remarked, "I was really impressed with the simple design and easy navigation coupled with rich content, especially considering the vast audience. I love the information available as podcasts."

"Providing exceptional customer service is always our goal, whether it is in person at one of our branches, over the phone, or online," said Kevin Keller, First Vice President of Marketing. "Maintaining a web site that balances new technology, quality content and easy navigation plays a key role in attracting, informing and serving customers."

The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and site development. The organization consists of Internet marketing, online advertising, PR and top site design professionals who share an interest in improving the quality of online content.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you; we may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
