Spread the Word to 6th-8th Grade Students in Your Community
Students in grades 6 to 8 are encouraged to participate in the 2013 Money Smart Kid Essay Competition, sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education. Three cash prize awards—$500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place—will be awarded.
The assigned topic for 2013: Tell us about a time you have saved, budgeted, or spent your money wisely. How did you manage to save or budget your money? What tips on managing money do you have for other students?

Essays must be postmarked by October 28, 2013, to be included in the competition.
