Whether we’re planting trees in city parks or donating life-saving blood, UBT employees are always eager to roll up our sleeves and make a difference. It’s part of our culture, and we all live it — employees of all levels are empowered to be leaders in philanthropy, inspiring others to consider how any contribution of time, talent, or money can change lives. This year, we’re excited to be highlighting the ways our employees are impacting the areas in which they live, work, and worship through our Community Involvement program.

We know how hard it has been to be isolated from our family and friends throughout the pandemic, especially for the seniors in our community. UBT employees wanted to bring some joy during this particularly hard time, so we encouraged employees to write uplifting cards, letters, and drawings to share with the residents of Eastmont Towers and Tabitha.

Employees really jumped on board this initiative, having their whole family join the effort! The result? Beautifully decorated cards, fun messages illustrated with their kiddos’ drawings, and heartfelt letters to residents that doubled as handwriting practice. All in all, employees wrote nearly 600 letters! The project really exceeded our expectations, and the recipients could not have been more pleased.
