Our splendid, superlative (and, at times, scorching hot) summer is drawing to a close and soon, we will be back to our usual routines, whatever they may entail. Wouldn’t you like just a little slice of some early fall fun to focus on, just a little something enjoyable on the horizon to look forward to? We have just the thing! How about a day trip to Overland Park, Kansas to see the production critics call “outrageous, colorful, campy, and enduring”, not to mention family-friendly?
Join us on Sunday, September 15, 2019 as we journey to Overland Park to a favorite venue, the New Theatre Restaurant. This renowned dinner theatre pairs four-star cuisine with Broadway comedies and musicals featuring stars from television, film, and stage. The show is Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, one of the most enduring productions of all time (the show celebrates its 50th anniversary this year).
Based on the “Coat of Many Colors” story from The Bible’s Book of Genesis, this upbeat musical is filled with a bounty of musical styles. The cast is dynamic and talented, the costumes rich and colorful, and the music, by the way, is by Andrew Lloyd Weber. Need we say more?
