Fraudulent Text Alert - December 4, 2012

Union Bank & Trust customers have reported that they have received a fraudulent text alert from checksordered@alerts.com, regarding a fake check order claiming to have been placed within the last two hours.

The text says a check order was placed under their name and to please call immediately (1-646-524-1395).

If you were to call the number, it doesn’t ask for information regarding your account number or check order. Instead, it asks for your 16 digit Debit Card number, Expiration, PIN # and 3 digit CVV.

This is everything a criminal would need to commit fraud using your Visa Check Card!

As always, you should remain diligent in reviewing your bank statements/online transactions and report any unauthorized information in a timely fashion to Union Bank & Trust at (402) 323-1777.
