How do I get money from my parents?

We know college students may need a little help every now and then. There are a few different ways to get money from your parents depending on if you have a parent as an owner on your account and where they bank.

I have a parent as an owner on my account, and they also bank at UBT.

You have the easiest of all options. Your parent can make a free Express Transfer within Online Banking to move money into your checking account. And if they plan to send money on a regular basis, they can set up a scheduled transfer within Online Banking to make it even easier.

Moving money is still easy. Your parent can use Account to Account transfer to link up your two accounts. Sending and receiving funds are both free.

The easiest option for you to use is Popmoney. All you need is your parent's email address or cell phone number to send a money request. Sending a next-day payment is free. If you need the money the same day, the fee is just $2.50.*
