Supporting financial literacy in our community

Here at UBT, we are committed to supporting the communities we serve. Our free Financial Literacy Program provides practical financial education for nonprofit organizations, helping them share trusted financial knowledge with the individuals and families they support.

    About our program

In 2020, Union Bank & Trust launched the Financial Literacy Program with one simple goal: to make financial education accessible, practical, and even fun. We believe that when people understand money, they feel empowered to make choices that improve their lives.

Through partnerships with local nonprofits and educational organizations, we provide free classes and workshops for the clients and community members they serve. These sessions cover real-world topics like budgeting, credit, and saving for the future — skills that can make a lasting difference.

    Reaching our community

Nonprofits do amazing work for their communities, and each one has its own mission and unique needs when it comes to programming. That’s why UBT’s Financial Literacy Program creates customized financial learning experiences designed specifically for each group. Our workshops bring financial concepts to life with local context and real-world examples. Every session is built to meet people where they are in their financial journey — providing ready-to-use tools and skills that empower them to feel more confident about their money.

Financial education workshops may be one-time, monthly, quarterly, or as a part of a series. We’re here to create a schedule that meets your program’s needs. Workshops last approximately one hour and include a presentation and educational materials.
