Recently, UBT was excited and honored to learn that we had been recognized as the #2 bank in the United States by Forbes in its “World’s Best Banks” list. Although the title is “World's Best Banks,” we see it quite differently. In our eyes, this honor reflects the “World’s best customers, communities, and employees.”

We share this honor with our customers. Without the communities and customers who support and trust Union Bank for a wide variety of financial needs — from everyday banking to complex financial plans and lending solutions for families and businesses — it simply wouldn’t be possible to be a part of this esteemed group of banks. Without the trust of our customers, we wouldn’t have nearly as many customers. And without customers, well, we wouldn’t be in business.

We share this honor with our employees. Every single person — from the front lines in our lobbies to the behind-the-scenes operational people you may never see — contributes tremendously to the organization’s health, culture, and success. Our amazing people help our customers accomplish great things, every day. Without great employees, we could not be a part of the Forbes list.

What does it take to be one of the world’s best banks?

According to Forbes’ survey of more than 40,000 people, banks were ranked based on respondents’ ratings on the factors below:

  • Overall satisfaction
  • Recommendation
  • Customer trust
  • Customer services
  • Digital services
  • Financial advice
  • Terms and conditions

To us, it all comes down to one thing: “At UBT, people don’t have your money — your money has people.”
