Meet the keynote speakers

Roy Ramthun

Roy Ramthun is a nationally-recognized expert on Health Savings Accounts and consumer-directed health care issues. He led the U.S. Treasury Department's implementation of HSAs after they were enacted into law in 2003. President George W. Bush then tapped Mr. Ramthun to be his health care policy advisor at the White House, where he developed the President's proposals to expand HSAs while overseeing the implementation of the Medicare prescription drug benefit (Part D). As Founder and President of HSA Consulting Services, LLC, he continues to be an advocate for consumerism in health care and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars around the country.

Mr. Ramthun has over 30 years of health care and public policy experience, both in government and in the private sector. He has served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance and the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration (now known as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). He also spent eight years with Humana Inc. and two years leading the West Health Policy Center.

Kelsey Pruss, MS

Kelsey has been working in a variety of health and wellness ventures for the last 14 years. Her experiences span from group fitness and personal training, to teaching nutrition at the college level, and multiple stints in a corporate wellness setting! Ms. Pruss specializes in education, public speaking, health coaching, and program development.

Jeremy Christensen

Jeremy T. Christensen is a partner at Baird Holm law firm and practices in the area of employee benefits, ERISA, tax laws, and public employer retirement systems. He represents clients with respect to all aspects of ERISA compliance and employee benefit programs, including pension and 401(k) plans, executive compensation, and health and welfare benefits.

In 2011, Jeremy received his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law, where he worked on the Creighton Law Review. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the Creighton University College of Business in 2012. In 2008, he graduated from the University of South Carolina, magna cum laude, with a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Real Estate. Jeremy has been recognized by Super Lawyers who has named him a “Rising Star” in 2019.

Jeremy currently serves on the Board of Directors of MENTOR Nebraska and is Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Legal Diversity Council.
