Money matters can be a lot to keep up with. Whether it’s a streaming service subscription you forgot to cancel or a bill you forgot was due, it’s normal for things to slip through the cracks from time to time in our busy lives. This is exactly why alerts are so useful — they provide a quick reminder for things you may have otherwise forgotten about, and they can keep you in-the-know about everything coming into and out of your bank account. And now, with an enhanced alerts experience in UBTgo, it’s never been easier to receive these notifications in real time via text message, email, or both!

What types of alerts can I set up?

There are several different kinds of alerts you can set up in UBTgo, each with a different purpose. These include:

  • Balance alerts: Set balance thresholds on your account that will alert you if they’re crossed.
  • Daily Balance alerts: Receive a daily update about what your account balance is. This alert can be customized to be sent at a time of your choosing each day.
  • Transaction alerts: Receive a notification whenever a transaction occurs on your account. These notifications are sent in real time, showing activity on your account as it happens.
    • Note: If you have transaction alerts and debit card alerts set up, you will receive two alerts. Transaction alerts set up within the Alerts tab will apply to all transactions on your account, whereas debit card notifications can be adjusted in the Debit Cards section of UBTgo.
  • Loan alerts: Receive reminders when a loan payment is due, and receive notifications when payment has been processed or is late.
  • Certificate of Deposit alerts: Set up notifications on your certificate of deposit (CD) that will alert you of monthly interest payments or when your account reaches full maturity.

So, where do I go to set up my alerts in UBTgo?

From your web browser, you’ll navigate to the profile name in the top-right corner, click Profile, then click Alerts. Within the UBTgo app, you’ll simply tap More in the bottom-right corner and then tap Alerts

Once you've accessed the Alerts feature, you have three tabs to pick from: Manage Alerts, Delivery Options, and Alert History. In the mobile app, these will be labeled as Alerts, Delivery, and Alert History.

These tabs will allow you to customize your alerts experience in different ways.

  • Manage Alerts (or Alerts): Create new alerts and view/update/delete existing alerts.
  • Delivery Options (or Delivery): Set up the email address(es) and mobile phone number(s) where alerts can be sent once you verify that the email/phone number is yours.
    • Note: Adding/updating a delivery method for alerts does not update your contact information for your entire UBTgo profile or UBT account. To learn how to update your contact information for your UBTgo profile, check out our handy guide or call Customer Support at 800.297.2837.
  • Alert History: View a 30-day history of your alerts, including the date/time each alert was sent, the type of alert it was, and the email/phone number it was sent to.

How can I edit my alerts once they are created?

Once an alert is created, you can easily edit or delete by selecting the alert and making adjustments to the alert options or deleting it. Note: If you have debit card alerts set up in the Debit Cards section of UBTgo, you might get duplicate alerts if you also have transaction alerts set up — one for the debit card and one for the transaction. To adjust this, edit or delete one of the alerts.

If you have any questions about getting alerts set up, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly Customer Support team at 800.297.2837 and we’ll be happy to help!
