There may be some areas of your life that are a bit out of alignment as we face the new year: Maybe you’re feeling somewhat fluffy around the middle after holiday feasting, or perhaps your morning walks are non-existent in the winter. Maybe sometimes the grey weather has you feeling blue, or your bank account is still hemorrhaging from holiday shopping. If any of this sounds familiar, not to worry! We’ve called in the pros, and help is on the way.

Enter Tune-Up Tuesdays, Journey’s informative new series designed to help you reset, revive, and renew with a four-point system check. Each Tuesday at 2 p.m. in January, tune out the world and tune in via Zoom as our experts give pointers on fine-tuning your fitness routine, diet, emotional wellness, and financial health. Sign up for as many of the sessions as you like — but hurry, as space is extremely limited. We don’t want you to miss out!

Tune Up Your Workouts

Tuesday, January 5, 2021 | 2 p.m.

Featuring Sarah McCurley, BA — Certified Fitness Instructor, Master Barre Teacher and Trainer, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Zoom Fitness Instructor

Many of us aren’t getting to the gym right now, and winter weather makes consistent walking difficult. Tune in for a fitness tune-up as Sarah takes us through a sample low-impact workout and offers creative suggestions for incorporating more movement into each day. (You are welcome to leave your camera off for this one and follow along with Sarah, Jack LaLanne style!)

Tune Up Your Eating Habits

Tuesday, January 12, 2021 | 2 p.m.

Featuring Sam Dolezal, MS, MSE, CSCS — Wellness Advocate at Union Bank & Trust

It’s difficult enough to maintain healthy eating habits over usual holidays, let alone holidays that topped a most unusual year — one that has kept many of us pretty close to the refrigerator. Tune in as Sam walks us through small tradeoffs that can add up to big nutritional wins and offers healthy eating tips for a variety of situations and dietary needs. A Q&A session will follow, so feel free to ask away.

Tune Up Your Emotional Well-Being

Tuesday, January 19, 2021 | 2 p.m.

Featuring Gail Sutter, LMHP, CEAP — Executive Director at Continuum

People who are emotionally fit are better able to handle life’s inevitable challenges, build strong relationships, and lead productive, fulfilling lives. Sometimes our emotional fitness just requires a bit of maintenance in order to cope with difficult situations (or challenging years!) and maintain a positive outlook. Join us as Gail provides tools for boosting mood, building resilience, and getting more enjoyment out of life.

Tune Up Your Finances

Tuesday, January 26, 2021 | 2 p.m.

Featuring Caitlin Moore — Financial Educator at UBT

Whether your finances are in a bit of turmoil after the holidays or you just want to make certain you’re on track for the new year, tune in to this segment and pick up a pro-tip or two on financial fitness. Caitlin will have pointers on everything from evaluating your budget and assessing your spending to reviewing your retirement plan. We’ll have time for questions following the presentation.
